Here is the corner by the stove.
Here is the stovetop and the countertops match my stoveboard nicely.
Here is a view of the sink ~ we went with the black granite sink and I just love it.
Another view ~ you can see my primitive soap keep hanging on the side of the cupboard that I bought from a seller on Ebay. It came with the rusty cup, two prim bars of soap and a sprig of sweet annie. It is primmed up perfectly.

Heres another section. The little red cubbie to the right hanging on the wall is kind of hard to see because I have a dittly bag hanging on it, it was for the 4th but it's now gone. The cubbie is done in a primitive red and has 2 drawers & a towel holder.

Here you can see I have an old primitive table in the center that Simon's father built back in the 20s. I have some flags & sweet annie in an old sifter, my beeswax crow, and a 4th of July candle.

Here's a closeup of the corner. Simon made me the primitive toaster cover, all of my wooden spoons and scoops are very old, as well as the slicer and the cutting boards.

A better closeup. Darn, I have an outlet showing. A prim lovers nightmare.

Another view.

Here is a bowl of flax, spools, and Americana stars I made on top of the antique sewing machine our SIL gave us. It belonged to his great grandmother and it dates back to 1860 - 1900. There were even a few bobbins in the drawer when I got it.

Here is a closeup of the machine. The tan thing covering part of it was what she used to stick her pins in it.

It folds out to a nice sewing table with lots of work room.

Here's a close up of the bowl of flax, stars, and spools.

Here's a hanging pinkeep from a Lori Brechlin pattern. I had made this same pattern before & framed it but it sold so I made myself a pinkeep from the pattern.

This is Fancey Blackett and her butterchurn, a Pineberry Lane pattern. It is also a hanging pinkeep & I just love the muted colors of it and it's perfect for late summer, early fall, though I will leave it out year round.

And here's the little ditty bag I made & filled with sweet annie. I will tuck it somewhere in the living room now that the 4th is over.
I will be taking a break from my selling blog for awhile. You've heard me speak of my pain in the neck, LOL, but I saw the neurosurgeon yesterday & I'm scheduled for surgery on July 29th. He is doing an anterior cervical disectomy with fusion on 3 herniated discs in my neck. They remove the bad disc, then do a bone graft where the disc was & a small metal plate is screwed in to hold the bone in place while the fusion heals. If all goes well it is an overnight stay in the hospital.
I have a couple small orders to finish up, then I want to get our house in good shape so I won't have to worry about cleaning while I'm recovering. I hope to continue to read your blogs & leave comments and maybe even post now and then. Maybe I'll have some garden pics to share but if the weather doesn't start cooperating then they may look quite pitiful. We've had some very cold weather & 2 days ago I had a woodfire ~ that's a first for us ~ a fire in July.
Well, take care my friends.
til next time,
Pam

Have a great day! Oh, and can you PLEASE send some of your cool weather down to Florida? :)
It is amazing to me that you will only have to spend one day in the hospital...it sounds so complicated...I hope this relieves your back pain!

Pam~ Your pictures are beautiful! Everything just looks wonderful..especially your countertops! Loving the little pinkeeps you made too..... Take care of yourself and I will be praying for your surgery to go well and praying that you heal quickly. Have a good day..and stay warm...? I can't believe I am telling you to stay warm in July!? ~Sarah~
Hi Pam,
You know I'll will be praying for a successful surgery and a complete recovery for you. It's amazing you will only need to be in the hospital overnight! That is wonderful! Your counters look gorgeous. Did you put a varnish or poly on them or just a wax finish? Cherry is such a beautiful wood. Such a rich color regardless of how they it's finished. I love all of your prim goodies and the sewing machine is a treasure. My dad was a tailor and he purchased an old Singer machine just like yours but without the pretty flowers all over it. The machine was used by European immigrants in the garment industry during the turn of the century. It was a powerful machine, able to sew through layers and layers of leather and heavy fabrics. I wish I still had that machine. Nothin' fancy about it, just easy to use and powerful. Hope you have warm sunny days ahead. It's been cooler than usual here too and we are finally getting some much needed sun. Much love to you my friend!
Your kitchen is beautiful. The black really looks nice. I thought about painting my cupboards black since I have just an 10 foot section where the sink is...I think I shall try it.
Prayers and blessings with God's speed to recovery on your surgery.
Have a good weekend.
Kathy
tell your SIL he did a wonderful job...they look so good..I love all of your decor too and all of your crafts...I hope your surgery goes smoothly and you heal quickly so you can get back to doing what you love...years ago back in 1987 we lit a fire in july..one day then it was summer..I remember that day cause we had just moved into our first home...and I do think we lit one in the home we currently live in back in 94 sometime...in july or august..weird...we are defintely getting the best spring and summer we have ever had since we moved here in 1986...and our garden is thriving to..again probably the best harvest we will have to date..we have about 10 little zuchinnis on the vine and 2-3 pumpkins...( I usually get one hand sized one if I am lucky) and haven't grown them in years due to that..but since we had more room this year..decided to give it a go..have a wonderful weekend enjoying that new kitchen...:)
love your "sister"
Gina:)
I hope your surgery goes well and you are pain free soon. Rest up and take extra good care of yourself. I love your kitchen. It is too pretty to cook in!!! Love the sink also. Morning Pam....first off....PLEASE DON'T FRET ABOUT MY BASKETS - you have enough on your mind with surgery...I mean it!
I'm facing the same surgery with my lower back but my surgery if I have it will be a full back brace for a couple months for the lower spine/disc to fuse properly....your are fortunate where yours are.
your counters are beautiful Pam - and your arrangements as well. You always decorate so beautifully.
GOOD LUCK WITH SURGERY!!! I'll have you in my prayers.
Hugs,
